VCF volunteers bring invaluable skills and experiences;

VCF relies on the goodwill and support of its volunteers who help in various ways ranging from specialist advice, administration and casework support. In addition, the organisation has a well­ established intern programme to assist students studying child protection and/or safeguarding with practical work experience, as well as work experience opportunities for young people, including those participating in the Prince's Trust TEAM programme. In turn, we hope that volunteers will gain experience which enhances training and work opportunities, develops their potential and increases their self­ esteem. Volunteers perform essential, supportive and complementary tasks to those undertaken by employees. The organisation values volunteering because everybody: the users of our services, staff and volunteers, benefit.

Join our campaigns for government action to prevent abuse of children

We work with partners, practitioners, other professionals and communities in our quest to continue to push for consistent development of the child protection system and for greater accountability within the regulatory framework in place to support social care employees and other frontline teams who seek to protect our children. By creating public awareness, we can progressively address our concerns, to ensure that the rights and protection of children are paramount and to endorse the organisation's ethos that 'every child matters...'
