February 2010 marked the 10th anniversary of Victoria Climbié’s death in 2000. Had she lived, Victoria would be 18.

VCF – The Victoria Climbié Foundation UK has been organising memorials and vigils since 2002 to commemorate the death of Victoria Climbié to ensure that she is remembered, not just as a name but as a person.

On 25th February 2010, the Foundation held a final memorial event at Parliament for Victoria Adjo Climbié. We will continue to remember Victoria, however the time has come to move beyond a memorial and truly put her legacy into practice. VCF is determined to take its work forward to progress effective implementation of the reforms, and will continue to be a campaigning voice to make the safeguarding of children a priority.
