Protecting Children across Culture and Faith – Putting Guidance into Practice
VCF Protocol: Protecting Children across Culture and Faith
The Victoria Climbié Foundation (VCF) training programme is a well established, comprehensive and effective training programme that equips practitioners with the tools and guidance necessary to better increase their understanding and provide support to those working with black and ethnic minority children and families within the UK. Our training programme has been designed to be consistent with the categories defined in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2010.
There is a need to understand varying cultural and faith perceptions that underpin the way children are brought up. Bearing this in mind, all our courses focus on multi‐agency training which complements what is available within individual organisations and aims to be readily accessible to staff from all agencies and sectors.
