Hosted by the Harrow Local Safeguarding Children Board on Friday 28th September, the aim of this event was to raise awareness of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) among professionals, raise awareness and prevention in the community, provide an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the issues around FGM and to gain a broader understanding of the long-term health implications for victims, and how care professionals have overcome challenges around diagnosis and treatment.

Mor Dioum, VCF Director, presented the current legislative framework, the international dimension and the foundation's views on community and partnership working.
